Ask all of your Republican friends...
...that when the Dems take back the House and the Senate in a week, and Gore / Clark in 2008 have a huge lead in all the polls, if they still think that the patriot act was a great piece of legislation.

1. I Try Not To Discuss Politics With Repub MORONS I Know
I limit it, because it's IMPOSSIBLE to get through to them, and it just fosters discontent.

And I'd much rather wait and see what happens before I plan on the Dems winning something which hasn't taken place yet.

2. Who would waste time having repist friends?
There is no chance of teaching them anything.

Life is too short to associate with that kind of scumbag.

Most of the hardcore Republicans I know (Edit: note know)) were astounded they were still in control after the 2004 elections. Nevertheless they still support the Cons (some of them) even though they know their party is against the will of the people. I always thought that was of messed up -- one would think that the party in control should support the will of the people.

Republicans will all of a sudden become big proponents of a limited Executive branch power, LOTS of oversight, investigations, demand answers from cabinet members UNDER OATH, etc.
