As a 'Nam veteran, this one was tough for me to put together, although most of the images were easy to find. I must, for once, disagree with the fine lyrics of this duo, because sometimes after certain "changes" we are NOT "more or less the same." Some changes are permanent.

"The Boxer" is one of those songs that will always be "true". It's both pessimistic and optimistic and reflects such great struggle. It could apply to me, to you, and to the universe. You did it justice. Beautifully done.

27. thank you for constructive criticism...

I realized what the lyrics originally were before I copied, pasted and then altered them... Originally my intent was to do EXACTLY what you suggested. Then, I opened my photo-bucket and saw all those faces staring at me. I put them there for an OP I did last week and their smiles changed my motivation. I first considered altering the words to "die, die, die" but I didn't relish portraying or thinking of them that way. I could also have gone back the the Washington Post site, which honors them, and gotten other faces, instead of recycling what I had, but I could not bear to see other freshly fallen faces. These will remain in my photo-bucket and heart.
