11. I know we shouldn't be using her as an issue
But the cynical part of me hopes that some third party group sends direct mail pamphlets to the houses of Christian Conservatives in Tennessee with those Facebook pics, saying "Corker claims to be for family values, but he can't even control his own daugher's behavior!"

I think it was stupid of them, especially considering Ford's perfect response. "I like football and I like women."

But I'm not comfortable dragging this poor girl into the fray.

35. Because she is now campaigning for her father
Here in Chattanooga there are new ads going around of the Corker kids and his wife praising their father. She is now involved in this campaign and she is endorsing what he is about and that does include being anti-gay. So she is going around doing a lesbian kiss while supporting her father discriminating against gay people.

29. Thank you for a voice of reason!
The Corker girl isn't running for anything, her father is - and also to whoever wrote later down the thread about him "controlling" his daughter - give me a frikkin' break - can you imagine the outcry on here if a freeper put something like that about a democrat's daughter.

30. She's fair game if she's inserted herself into his campaign.
Edited on Mon Oct-30-06 07:35 AM by IanDB1
Otherwise, I'll concede she may be protected by "The Chelsea Clause."

Has "The Corker Girl" hit the campaign trail and spoken publicly in support of her father?

Has her dad used his daughter in his campaign material and/or speeches?

"I'd like everyone to wave to my beautiful, wholesome daughter who has never once tasted the forbidden fruit of the love that dare not speak its name."

If she or her father have inserted her into the political arena, then she's fair game.

Otherwise... she's Chelsea.

Chelsea having hot, lesbian action, that is.

36. Oh yes she is involved
As I've already said she is now in a new ad with her father and is endorsing him and talking about him as a candidate and as a father. She is now involved in this race and is now a hypocrite. I wouldn't be in an out cry if the democrats daughter was campaigning for their father.

33. Because she is involved with his campaign now
Corker has a new ad where his daughters are talking about him in a positive light obviously so they are involved. They are in a sense attacking Ford and endorsing all the attacks on him by getting involved with his campaign. If they stayed silent and didn't get involved with this campaign I would say "so what?" as well but this isn't "so what?" This is hypocrisy on Corker's part as well because he has been silent on the issue of his daughters pictures and hasn't condemned them or anything while being in favor of this anti-gay crap while being a hypocrite.

12. Bob Corker (R-TN) has a daughter photographed having hot, lesbian sex
TN-Sen: Hypocrisy and discrimination plague Tennessee Senate race

Let's attack the black guy and his father and give a free pass to Corker's family.

Until President Bush made the error of changing the subject back to Iraq two days ago, the Republicans had Harold Ford right where they wanted him. The bachelor Ford admitted that he attended a Superbowl party last year that was sponsored by the Playboy company. When you couple that revelation with the racially driven GOP ad that was finally pulled yesterday, Ford has been successfully branded by GOP strategists as someone that does not share Tennessee's southern values.

While Ford faced all this scrutiny, Republican Bob Corker still has refused to comment on the photos that surfaced of his college-aged daughter that showed her engaging in behavior that many Tennessee voters would be embarrassed to see out of the daughter of a Senate candidate whose main theme is family values. One of the photos showed her making out with another girl. Don't you think that the Republicans would be all over Ford with smear ads if a photo surfaced of his son kissing another guy? Or how about if his son was dating a white woman?

<snip>

Obviously what Corker's daughter did was her own right. But these photos are an example of the hypocrisy that is plaguing this Senate race. They blame Ford for attending a party, yet Corker's daughter was at a party herself, making out with another girl. They brand Ford as weak on immigration, yet Corker's former company hired illegal immigrants to work on his job site.

There is a double standard in place that, more than anything else, is distracting voter attention away from Iraq. How is Ford attending a Superbowl party sponsored by Playboy more important than a conflict where our brave troops are dying each day? In fact, five more died yesterday. But nevermind that -- let's be sure to keep our eye on the black guy.

27. sproing!

It's Republicans Gone Wild! Don't think our family values stance means we don't know how to have fun! Sure, some of our family-friendly senators may be kind of gay, some of them may be kind of into having sex with underage boys young enough to be their sons, but not all of us are like that! You think you'd ever see a stick-in-the-mud like Chelsea like this? Yowza! Republicans Gone Wild! Remember, it's not gay if both chicks are hawt!!!!

31. The ad was not pulled by republicans
It was pulled because of their slam against the Canadians and North Korea and one of their ambassadors got upset and railed at the White House for the ad and they pulled it. It's still disgusting. Corker has a new ad with his family on there and they're talking about Corker and how he's funny and cares about people. :sarcasm: Oh yeah attacking a bachelor man for going to a party he was invited to and his race is really funny and caring. I wish Harold or someone with the DSCC would do an ad staring that picture and ask the Corker's why they're hypocrites. Their family is involved in this race now so it's fair game. Oh and it's only "a sin" for Ford to go to the Playboy party because he has a (d) after his name and we democrats don't have religion and we can't enjoy ourselves. Only republicans can. I thought the response Ford gave to the attack about the Playboy mansion was perfect. I mean hell he's thirty something years old and single and he was there as a private citizen and not as a Congressman. Lots of people go to these party's and it's their right to do so.
