After Nov 7, I don't want to hear "Colorado is red" anymore!
I saw once more some know-it all call Denver a "Red" city. No town that votes 67% for Jon Kerry is "Red". Congresswoman Diane DeGette (D) is running unopposed, and she won't be unseated until she retires, just the same with Pat Shroeder before her. The Mayor is a Democrat, as is the city council.

The Statehouse (both houses) are controlled by Democrats and indicators show that they will bolster their numbers on election day. The Repug Guv is tired, out of step and ineffective. Bill Ritter (D) has got 17 points on his repug opponent with the sissy french name to replace Owens (R).

In 2004 we laid the foundation for a blue shift when we voted for this...
Total Dem takeover of the Legislature
Denver expanding light rail mass transit by public referrenda
Approval for alternative wind energy power plants
John and Ken Salazar replaced Repugs Nighthorse Turncoat and that fruitcake congresscritter we sent fruitcakes to. Now, both of these Vichy Dems voted for torture and are on my shitlist right now, but I think they are finger in the wind Dems, they'll come around.

We did this BEFORE Chairman Dean was Chairman, so it's of course before his 50 state strategy as well. We called ours "Be the Change".

This year...
Minimum Wage increase and hinged to inflation looks to pass
Ed Perlmutter should get the nod for the 7th, replacing Both Ways Bob (R).
We may have a couple of more Dems for the House for you, as the 3 remaining Repug strongholds are VERY tight races.
The dreaded "Domestic Partner" referendum looks good for approval.
There's also a marajuana bill on the ballot (to mirrror Denver's already approved legal for an ounce). It'll probably pass too.

We are also the first (and so far, only) state to get our very own Media Matters site.

http://colorado.mediamatters.org/

The Colorado GOP is in shambles, and even with the breaks the media has given them, they still can't get out of the ditch. so, if they somehow do win this time, they will have stolen it. So for those of you who know little about Co. and just pull opinions out of your asses, you have now been informed...even if you do fly over us.

Ok, my petty little rant is over. I figured if the Southerners can get their rants on about stereotypes, so can us Mountaneers.:D

This lady could oust her. The polls are very close or far away. MustGo is 10 points ahead or 3 points behind. They're screwy up there in her district.

And she is a hateful bitch! I met her once. I felt instantly cold when she touched my hand.:scared:

Angie Paccione is running aganst the cold bitch.

5. Well of course you felt cold - she has no heart.
Therefore she has no circulatory system. Anybody who could attack fellow Americans (gays) like she does is a , in your words, hateful bitch. Off with her head!

11. I was referring to your votes for Republicans in the last two Pres. elections
Including 2000, where Missouri could have put Gore in the White House.

12. So Prez is the only vote that makes a state red, right?
In fixed rail mass transit, we are more liberal than half of the NE, and the PNW. But because the votes went to Bush, BARELY, you decided that we have to be in this category until you see fit to release us, right?

Who's talking about Missouri?

16. I guess it's just me talking about Missouri
Not sure how I confused Colorado with Missouri. MO isn't even square. I guess it's just my fuming anger at Missour for single-handedly putting Bush in the White House. Colorado voted Republican too, but they didn't have the electoral votes to swing the election, so their mistake isn't nearly as big as Missouri's (or Florida's).

Colorado has clearly been trending LIBERAL over the last few years, due in no small part to the influx of Hispanic immigrants/migrants into Colorado. I'm looking forward to seeing Colorado vote Democratic in 2008, and I know your state has had a lot of success in electing Democrats recently. Billionaire Jon Stryker is trying to help Michigan Democrats recapture our legislature, just as his sister, Pat Stryker helped with the same cause in Colorado.
