Apparently Jim Webb's fiction is worse than Foley's predatory behavior...
Any of you ever catch a poster named Michale on Huff Post?

Wow this person is a piece of work. Lately I have been watching Michale argue quite crazily that Jim Webb's fiction is sicker than Mark Foley's IMs. It is weird stuff. Here is an example and I'll paste the link from the whole thread. If you get a chance look on other stories, Michale (self-proclaimed Independent voter) is all over with some of the most batshit stuff ever.

"Sorry people, you will get no sympathy from me...

I told ya'all back when you were screaming FOLEY FOLEY FOLEY that it would come back and bite you on the ass.

And now it has..

One question though...

What does Lynn Cheney have to do with the Senate race in Virginia. She isn't even a politician.

So, now ya'all feel it's OK to attack people's family???

Tell me again exactly how are you NOT Neo-Dems, the spittin' image of Neo-Cons??

Michale....."

1. Oh yeah, I'm *sure* that she's an INDEPENDENT voter!
:eyes:

I'd guess that she's a paid Republican stooge.

2. Without even reading your link, what does Lynn Cheney have
to do with anything, so why is she plastered all over CNN all day?
And as far as Webb's book, when it was released, I understand people such as McCain
endorsed it. I haven't heard that broadcast widely, though my dad did hear it on the news somewhere.
And if it was such a horror, why did Allen wait so long to let this poisonous info out? Could it be because he's not only trying to deflect from the war but his own personal demons and unpopularity?

3. apparently Lynn went on CNN to defend herself
against the attacks from the Left, not to launch an attacks on Jim Webb. :eyes:

Yeah cuz the Cheney's are both such cuddly creatures who would never the low road. :)

6. It wasn't a flattering interview, by any means...
LC looked like a crazed shrew (much like what the RW claims Senator Clinton appears to be). They gained NO votes with her half-assed appearence...

Obviously, the Allen campaign thought this would be a "nuke.":eyes:

4. Guess she's never read any
Jonathan Kellerman. The guy is a psychologist and he writes some of the most depraved, creepy books. He knows his stuff and his books are compelling and great reads.

For fiction to be good, it has to reveal the underbelly of humanity. It's unlikely that all those good mystery/crime/war/psychological novelists are depraved wackos.

Maybe the RW only reads Winnie the Pooh. :eyes: They read their Bible and there is some weird shit in that book.

5. I am a published writer
and I say some odd things from time to time, some of my characters are definitely misogynists, because most of my friends back home are pretty chauvinistic. I write characters like that sometimes. I written about people who are promiscuous alchoholics. But guess what? I am celibate and rarely drink! So does what I wrote about put me in the same league as say a rapist or something? Hell no, it is ridiculous, I have never seen such a bone-headed argument before. It is pretty twisted logic.

7. Well, these are the same people

who got all bent out of shape over "The Da Vinci Code." Acted like it was a non fiction novel. Wanted the damn movie banned. IT WAS FICTION FERCRISSAKE!

I give up. If these people cost Webb the election, my heart goes out to the state of Virginia. Having neighbors this out of touch must be tough to bear.

Sadly, republicans have had their cognizance surgically removed:eyes:

Foley...REAL predator..preyed on REAL "teens"

Webb...AUTHOR..made up stories or embellished on war storiesd.. you know.. like when REAL soldiers go to REAL wars.. not like the 101st Keyboarders Division.

10. Don't forget
"Scooter" Libby's delightfully sadistic sex scenes in his novel. Wasn't there something weird about a bear? That would freak out Stephen Colbert!

11. Is There Any Evidence That This "Flap" Has Had Any Effect?

From what I've seen, it may backfire on Allen.

12. A coworker bombarded me yesterday with the same rant. Twisted
logic, huh? It's okay to do it but not okay to fictionalize it with these guys. Besides, it's apples and oranges. Webb portrayed the horrors of war on pages. Foley preyed on underage pages.
