EYEmetrics and effective internet posting.
Here's a thing I can offer to you bloggers and new webmasters who are trying to make a difference in the upcoming elections.

There have been a lot of studies on the way people read and react to web pages.

People usually are on the web for QUICK information.

(read quick, short and concise in the info you provide)

(Western) People scan from left to right. Adjust your graphics and textual connotations thusly.

When you can, use a graphic rather than text. The mind wraps around a product image more quickly than a description of the product.

The majority often disregard and start scanning after three lines of text without a break.

I couldn't find the graphic, but imaging a dripping blob on the left side of your page that caries over to the right side.

In a nut shell, Internet writing and posting carries a different set of rules than the printed page.

And in a final wrap, I have no idea why I'm posting this.

3. yes hmmm
I'm perplexed at how quickly people lock on to a commercial one, and
how few will make a democratic one. I should have emailed it to skinner,
so that he could post it himself, and then people would jump all over it.

I am not suggesting that the video i made was good, just an example,
and given the short election period, a highly effective internet
tool. I wish they had more music and video clips, the democratic
party could do one of those even better, i can't believe they
are not doing that.

Get people to participate in the media of the party, make the
resulting videos all public domain for the democratic party
to use in any race, or in any internet emailing.

I've seen the read-scan diagrams of eyes scanning text.

And in truth telling, i don't give a toss whether
people with short attention spans can't read.
