"we love your choice of font style"
did anyone catch that dig at the end of Olbermann's eviseration of Chimpy last night?

I took it as a dig against the wingnut bloggers who used font style as a weapon to discredit the Dan Rather memos.

1. good for you!
That nagged at me, too. He often has so many layers of meaning that it's impossible to catch everything. You caught it!

4. I think Keith had layered meanings in that.

At the most superficial level, it's difficult to read. Obviously, the producers aren't interested in a literate audience.
At the next level, I think an allusion to the TANG memo was clear.
At another level, I took it as a dig at the "Elite" ... since the font isn't Courier, it's Elite - a typewriter font to be sure.

I tend to personally appreciate such multifaceted allusions - more than just double entendre, but triple and quadruple.

7. It's more fun in the gutter
... with my head in the clouds.

Actually, it's the curse of an internal dialectic - the Jesuit educational influence - always arguing with myself and challenging my assumptions and any opinion with which I've gotten too comfortable. Arguing (not 'fighting') with others is aerobic; arguing with myself is isometric; together, they strengthen the mind - and heart, imho.

:loveya: ... more than you know, my melon licker.
