Contact: Tracey Schmitt
(202) 863-8614

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Republican National Committee (RNC) today released an “America Weakly” web ad entitled “Tax Man.” The ad is co-written by Myrna Sokoloff and directed by renowned Hollywood filmmaker David Zucker, who has directed mega hits such as “Airplane” “Naked Gun,” “Scary Movie 3,” and “Scary Movie 4.” The ad is a humorous look into Democrat tax policies and what it would mean for American taxpayers if they regained majorities in the U.S. House and Senate. “Tax Man” will be emailed to millions of Republican supporters, grassroots activists, and all state parties. The web ad is available for viewing now on www.americaweakly.com or www.gop.com.

2. How is this for logic....
"Give us your money so that you don't have to give those same funds to the government and actually get something back for them."

Isn't that exactly what the RNC is saying here?

to pay for Bush's tax cuts to the wealthiest Americans. Because that's exactly what Bushco has done.

Surely millions of Republican supporters, grassroots activists, and all state parties would find that hilarious.

The nerve of the RNC--they never cease to amaze me.

5. Ugh. About the line "their reckless spending" and the all white Anerica...
My foolish optimism leads me to think that the line about the Democrats' "reckless spending" could backfire and help open people's eyes to the false constructions in this ad and advertising in general. I'm hoping that Middle America will go, "but the Republicans control the spending...." Let them talk about reckless spending, balanced budgets, record deficits.

Now, I'm not going to watch that piece of crap again to check on this, but I don't think I saw a single person of color. Is this the America that Republicans see? What they experience? What they want?

Maybe it's another code to their base, the way "San Francisco values" asks them, "Are you going to vote for us or for the queers like that deviant Democrat Foley?" (Fox has captioned Foley D-FL) Is "Tax Man" in the insidious ranks of "Rats" and "Willie Horton," or just unfunny tripe?

6. Or California currently getting 66 cents
For every buck it sends to BushCo, as if ENRON sticking them wasn't sick enough.

7. Wait a fuck second we are the ones who showed real fiscal conservatism
Clinton may have been too moderate on some issues.

But he did the right thing not putting over a huge deficit on to our children.

Goddamn people it feels like we are the janitors we always have to come in and clean up the Repukes fiscal messes!

8. So the Repukes have been reduced to using the guys that brought us
blowjobs with a plastic blow-up doll, jokes about stuffed beavers, OJ Simpson as a comedian, and jokes about sticky sperm.

Yeah, I want them running my country. :sarcasm:

9. That America Weakly site is a hoot.
Boogie! Boogie! Boogie! the Democrats are coming!

What a hash of old lies all bundled together in one place for the faithful to get their catch phrases straight! The best article - the one about the impeachment of Bush! This is actually supposed to scare people into voting Republican! I haven't seen a better ad giving reasons for voting Democratic!
