In that incident, in addition to the ammo in the dump cooking off all night, four 50,000-gallon avgas tanks blew. We thought the first one was a nuke. Mushroom cloud & everything. By the time the second went, an hour or so later, we had been told what they were.

3. I'd just like to point out that just because an ammo dump blowing in Nam didn't kill anyone

...DOES NOT mean that the ammo dump blowing up Baghdad did the same. I think there's a liklihood of casualties, but until we get a decent report, we don't know.
