Dunkin Donuts gets BushCo SBA $$$...Carlyle Groups buys Dunkin Donuts

Okay, first things first...last night I posted this story about the Carlyle Group, of BFEE fame, buying Dunkin Donuts and Baskin Robbins. Odd, I thought. Why would a giant, top-secret defense services company want to own a chain of doughnut shops and ice cream stands?

Well, if you've got the morning news on, you know that the SBA post-9/11 loans thing is the scandal du jour. Shocking! Cabal News is just now reporting on the story we've been talking about on DU for two years. Anyway, in the story I just heard on the SBA loan scandal (in case you've missed it, it has been found that hundreds/thousands of companies with no connection to 9/11 received 9/11 funds), the singled out a couple of examples of the fraud which were particularly egregious. One example: over 100 Dunkin Donuts outlets around the country received money from the SBA 9/11 program. And now Poppy Bush and his cohorts in world crime purchase the chain. Things that make you go "hmmmmmmmmmm." And never step foot in another Dunkin Donuts again.
