A Counter ad against RNC "Bin Laden" commercial
Use the same images that is used in the RNC commercial, but instead say"Where is Bin Laden?"
"Does George Bush and Karl Rove know where he is?"
"They mislead us on Iraq, what else could they be misleading us on?"

1. I've seen that suggested a few times
but I would rather we didn't use their scary images, it almost gives their ad more air time. I would rather see something like all the Vets we have in Congress and running for elections get together for one huge photo and introduction to America, with words like The Veterans who are helping make you safer are Democrats, vote for them this November 7th.

2. or, "the republicans trot out Bin Laden when they think you are no longer
afraid"

"If Bin Laden is such a grave threat to this nation - why have the Bush administration and his cronies in Congress taken resources away from the war on Terror to fight an unneccary war in Iraq."

"Maybe Osama isn't the only one we should be afraid of."

"This November, Vote for Sanity. Vote for Safety. Vote for a Democrat."

4. Or maybe a simpler question
like"Why do Republicans prefer commercials with Bin Laden instead of Mr Bush?"
"What are they really afraid of?"

7. I like that one a lot
If they are going to claim that Bush makes us safe from bin Laden (which is the impression they are giving with that ad), then why not have a nice bunch of photo ops with Bush and the candidate!!??

:bounce:

5. We need to counter the negativity of this ad
Run an ad offering a positive vision of America instead of this fearmongering garbage.

It's the perfect response.

8. Show Bush standing up lying to us all, in the SOTU speech and
remind people that, more American people are dead in Bush's elective war in Iraq, than were killed by bin Laden on 9/11, all because Bush and the PNAC lied over and over and over.

9. I just wrote this for another thread
Cut to a close up of a closed front door as seen from within the house.
The doorbell rings.

The door opens, and a group of voices call out "Trick or Treat!"

A mother looks out at the kids and asks "What do we have here?

First kid steps up and shows his costume: "Boo! I'm a ghost!"
Second kid steps up and shows his costume: "Boo! I'm a vampire!"
Third kids steps up and shows his costume: "Boo! I'm Osama bin Laden!"

Mother looks at the third kid, and shaking her head asks "Is this an election year again?"

Voiceover: For the last five years, George Bush has flip-flopped on Osama bin Laden,
changing from "Wanted: Dead or Alive" to "I'm not
that worried about him" . He and his staff ignored warnings before 9/11,
and lied about it. He closed the special task-force specifically instructed to get Osama bin
Laden, and lied about it. And now, because there is an election coming up, Republicans want
you to believe that they are the only ones who can protect us from Osama bin Laden.

Maybe it's time to let someone else try. Someone who will actually pay attention to the problem
all the time, and not just during election time.

Vote Democratic. It's time for a change

10. And be sure to use clips of * saying the words.
"Dead or alive" and "I'm not that worried about him.
