Stem cell research = prolife
Since some politicans are using this in their campaigns we need to help rewrite the message. I think letters to the editor would go a long way to help the cause as would letters directly to canidates.

We need to present the fact that a parent donating a left over zygote is a long the same lines as a parent donating organs from their child killed in an accident. Granted many, me included, don't believe that 150 cells equal a child but some people do and that's their right. To avoid linking it to the abortion issue could be phrased "If you believe that frozen embryo's are children then...."

3. That's why we need to frame this issue
the republicans frame every issue and the dem's only work within the parameters that the republican set - we need to basically ignore their crap and phrase our issues simply and clearly. I know it's harder when you don't lie but we could do it with some effort.

2. The whole debate is full of bad reasoning - on the conservative side
"OK we oppose federal funding of stem cell research because it involves murdering poor innocent unborn children, but we see no reason to stop private companies who want to kill the unborn. Conversely, we are totally opposed to individuals murdering each other, and feel that murderers should go to death row, but we are bang up along side paying soldiers to go kill Iraqis. The federal government shouln't kill unborn babies, but we have no problem with them killing adults."
