Newt Gingrich's marital infidelity a "nothing-burger" - White House
The Newt Gingrich for president buzz is back, and we're hearing it from a rather odd corner of Washington: 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. Top Bushies tell us that they think the former disgraced House speaker would make a great president. Gingrich thinks big, they say, and represents the old Reagan-style of smaller-government conservatism. As for his past marital infidelity, they think it's a nothing-burger, especially if he faces Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton, whose hubby had his own problems she'd rather forget.

I can't believe this guy is still around and still being considered for the presidency. He divorced his first wife while she was in the hospital being treated for cancer, then didn't pay any support. The local Baptist Church had to take up a collection to support the family he had deserted. Newt said, "She isn't young enough or pretty enough to be the President's wife." He then married a younger woman with whom he had been having an affair. He then divorced THAT woman to marry another younger woman (by 23 years) with whom he had been having another affair during the Clinton impeachment hearings.

Yep. Good Republican family values. I think it's pretty obvious this guy couldn't get the Repub nomination in 08, but the fact that he's on TV every week blathering about WWIII makes me sick. I think someone needs to confront him about his past and see how well he can explain it.

1. Newt is disgusting slime. His name befits him. What is this guy even
doing these days, aside from spreading his foul verbal emanations on TV and radio and trying to grease the skids for a misbegotten presidential run?

9. But you can't say he doesn't think big
Newt won't be going anywhere. It's McCain or Frist. Republican nominations are utterly predictable.

Run Gnewt Run...
They're worried about Hillary's "infidelity"? Pardon me...she was the "victim" of adultery, not the perpetrator. So Gnewt would use the "Sluts & Nuts" defense? Bring It On...

Also, bring on the memories of the government stalemate and bitter partisanship Gnewt was responsible for. Let's open up that can of worms shall we? Or how about Gnewt's book deal that should have led to his expulsion from the House. And that's before we really start digging on what other slime is dripping off this royal class ass.

Remember, Gnewt's popularity ratings were almost in negative numbers and a reason the GOOP dumped him. It wasn't his infidelity, it was the fact he lost the '98 Congressional elections...instead of winning seats with their impeachment gambit, they lost 'em.

People may confuse McCain as some "maverick" or Rudy as some "moderate", but there's no hiding where Gnewt is...and his nomination would all but guarantee a Democratic victory in '08. Bring it on!!!!!

14. With his background I'm not surprised they would support him.

That walking pus bag possesses all the personality characteristics they hold near and dear.

But I'm optimistic. I think by now the voting public knows what to expect out of the rethuglicans.

So do I.

The fact that he's even on TV after all that he's done just goes to show how low the American corporate media is.

Even the ones that love him. He screws over even those so what will he do for regular Americans?
