Letter in the Rutland paper:

Vermont should denounce O'Reilly

January 25, 2006

Regardless of where we as Vermonters stand on the Cashman debate, we must all stand up and defend ourselves from Bill O'Reilly's assault on our state. Last week O'Reilly announced to his audience of millions that if Judge Cashman is not removed, Vermont will experience "the biggest trouble in their history." How dare he threaten a boycott on our state, our economy and our way of life.

It doesn't matter to O'Reilly that his campaign to smear Vermont and boycott our businesses would hurt all of us hard-working Vermonters regardless where we stand on the issue. It only matters to O'Reilly that he push his agenda and boost his ratings.

This is wrong, it is an assault and we must stand up to defend ourselves. Denounce O'Reilly, Vermont.

MICHAEL MORIARTY

Lincoln

1. perhaps your republican governor should put O' Really in his place
and also explain that the Judge was appointed by another Republican Governor.

6. Probably not
Last I heard, he was living in Vancouver, BC, and had no intention of returning to the US. He moved up here in the early 90s after his role in Law & Order melted down; he's had a couple of arrests for drunk and disorderly, but hasn't managed to get deported yet. He left Nova Scotia because the politics were too left-wing for his taste (also because he'd made a public spectacle of himself by racially cursing a black police officer whilst plastered). Tried starting his own political party out west, but I don't think that went too far. Weird guy, decidedly.

5. Not only should Vermont denounce O'Lielly
The whole country should as well. He is obviously a fraud and has been exposed many many times. I heard his radio show is near the bottom ratings wise. Gee, thats too bad. Hahahahaha!
