Rove: Foley matter "complicates things"
Also Monday, it became clear that the Foley scandal was sparking political concerns at the highest levels of the White House, with strategist Karl Rove conceding in a private briefing that the matter "complicates things" for some Republican candidates who have been linked to the scandal.
...
In his private briefing Monday, Rove noted that with the Democrats needing just 15 seats to take control of the House, "every seat matters." It does not help, he suggested, "having Foley's seat up for grabs rather than being safe and having Reynolds responsible now for fighting back on this issue."

Rove's remarks, in a roughly half-hour conference call with GOP supporters across the country, offered a glimpse into private worries over the Foley fallout in a White House that has tried to steer clear of the controversy. A participant in the Rove call invited a Times reporter to listen in. The White House said it would have no comment on private calls, but added that Rove assured activists that the party would overcome the problem.

Overall, Rove sought to sound upbeat as he addressed the activists. He predicted the GOP would hold the House and Senate, but seemed to acknowledge that his hopes had been dampened in recent days

"I felt great about before Foley," he said. "But I still feel good about it."

3. See that's what you pay Rove for - the solid deep political analysis
What other Republican Pol would have realized how this foley situation complicates matters?

4. What was that? Something in the GOP not controlled by Rove?
Finally, maybe this nation will be released from the grip of Karl Rove and his republican criminal regime.

5. Who's Karl trying to fool?
He has the election-stealing software all ready to go. He'll decide on Nov. 5th which races can be hijacked, and he will sent that updated software to the republican chairman of the appropriate states. I don't trust Karl farther than I can throw Denny Hastert. I just hope the overwhelming support for the Dem candidate in those Senate & House races can be enough to outfox KKKarl & Bushie-babe.

8. You are so right, I predict

that the week before the election, pixie dust will be sprinkled on all the polls and it will be a "tight race."

Diebold wins the day.

6. Perhaps KKKarl is not as much of a political genius
as he wants us to think.

Envision the PKR (Post-Karl Rove) Era! It's coming, and not a moment too soon!

7. Karl Is Getting The "Blame Foley" Excuse Into Place
It won't be Georgie's fault that the GOP got clobbered in 2006. Or Karl's either.

Nope.

Mark Foley did it.
