Foley checked himself into rehab mighty damn quick, probably on our dollar since he wasn't fired for cause; the way the rest of us would have been if we'd used our position or influence to harass employees. Even if he never touched them, he was potentially contributing to the delinquency of minors. And some of the damage he's done won't surface for years.
While I've been unable to find his voting record on anything similar to (universal) Health Care Insurance legislation, since we have had no reform in years and he's in the GOP, I am assuming he's voted against. It would therefore be the ultimate hypocrisy to foist the health care costs for the targets on the public health-care system.
Put these two things together and I think one step of his amends should be providing for the mental health care needs of his teen targets (for their lifetimes). Let him try to scare up as much money for that noble cause as he managed for his election campaigns.
I'll even be generous, he can be employed by the foundation he creates for the cause, but he may never earn one cent more from the foundation than the least well paid of his targets earns during the same period. If that means an ex-page earns nothing for a year (because he's in rehab or also charged with crimes against minors) neither should Foley. This ensures that he keeps their best interests at heart in a way that he was unwilling to do up to now.
If no-one needs the money, it can be used, after the last one has passed on, for health care of other sexually abused minors.
