American Spectator is circulating an horrific lie about Pelosi... this is
really nasty and it should really be stopped.

http://www.americanprowler.org/dsp_article.asp?art_id=10450

Snip

What interests in all of this in light of the unfolding scandal involving Florida Republican Rep. Mark Foley and his mind-boggling e-mails to a young House page are the participants in spots number 31 and 34 of the Pride Parade.

Celebrant number 31 was the late Harry Hay. Harry, it seems, was quite the guy. In fact, it is not too much to say that he was famous in San Francisco.

snip

The paper favorably notes a number of things in Harry's life, including his left-leaning politics, his connection with the Communist Party in the 1930s and his founding of "The Mattachine Society," a group the Chronicle calls "the first sustained homosexual rights organization in the United States."

snip

Harry Hay was a fierce advocate of man/boy love. While The Chronicle simply ignored Harry's views, the North American Man/Boy Love Association was only too delighted to put up a collection of Harry's views on the need for young boys to have older men as sexual partners. Here's just a sample taken from a talk at a New York University forum sponsored by a campus gay group in 1983.

snip

Which makes one curious about the presence of marcher number 34 in the 2001 Pride Parade. Marching a mere three spots away from the famous Harry Hay, no doubt waving and smiling to the crowd, was, as the Chronicle logged her in the Official Guide and Program Parade Lineup: "U.S. Rep. Nancy Pelosi."

That would be now Democratic leader of the U.S. Congress and the candidate of the Democratic Party to be the next Speaker of the House of Representatives, the official third in line to be President of the United States.

Surely this is a different Rep. Nancy Pelosi from the one who currently has on her website as Minority Leader the following statement:

"Republican leaders admitted to knowing about Mr. Foley's abhorrent behavior for six months to a year and failed to protect the children in their trust. Republican Leaders must be investigated by the Ethics Committee and immediately questioned under oath."

Now, keep in mind that hay died in 2002, so apparently nancy didn't know who the little old 89 year old dude half a mile in front of her was.

And, keep in mind that CSW, the sponsor of the SF, LA and SD parades doesn't allow NAMBLA to carry any banners or to be even ACKNOWLEDGED in their parades.

So... this is pretty nasty and abstract, if not wildly imaginative.

1. If they dig up Harry Hay, we dig up Jeff Gannon.
Maybe this is what the Oct. 7 Wayne Madsen Report is talking about:

WMR has also learned that Republicans will soon mount an effort to discredit a senior House Democratic member with a sex scandal of a rather different nature. The member is aware of the plans and is circling the political wagons if the GOP launches their expected attack.

2. What a load of old bilge
So what if she was there supporting gays in general. Nothing iffy about that whatsoever. Publishing that article is no more than an act of desperation. If I was her and I was asked to comment I'd glare and say "so fucking what - piss off and annoy someone else" Being the lady that she is I obviously think she'd express that a bit more politely though whilst conveying the same sentiment.

3. Why even bother with this?
Is that all they've got? Pelosi was at the same parade as Harry Hay? Is that it?

4. So, if unbeknownst to me, I march in a parade with a serial killer
(just for instance), then I'm *supporting* the guy's serial killing ways?

Okaaaay.

6. So if I am 3 spots away from Charles Manson,
that makes me a crazed murderer?

These people are truly clueless.

8. Is the phrase 'three spots away' supposed to be understood by
Edited on Sat Oct-07-06 02:50 PM by higher class
everyone? Four paragraphs down they write 1/2 mile in front of her.

I've never said 'spots' - I would assume 1 spot + 1 person?

Reminds me of the distance between Fonda and Kerry in the photo - they said they were there together.

It's all in the same category of nasty tricks that stupid people and juveniles participate in. I would not worry about the 70-65 % of citizens who operate in the adult when applying logic. Most citizens don't play that dirty.

Just how did so many juveniles land in the same political pot and get all the publicity they get?

10. on wolf or somebody
PAt buchanan was saying nancy pelosi was marching in the same gay rights parade as nambla.

So Nancy supports everything nambla stands for.

nambla is men that like boys.

are there any associations made up of boys that have romantic yearnings for grown men?

just wondering

11. I saw that, it might have been on Matthews
--but it was shrugged off and ridden over by the other guests as well as Matthews or Blitzer or whoever it was (can't remember where I saw it either). Buchanan sounded nutty and desperate for ammo.
