Jack Kingston will be making the rounds on the cable channels
this weekend apparently trying to sell that bunch of hooey he tried to peddle on Hardball last night about Dems setting up Foley. That appearance was a trial balloon. Well, I hope we have people on our side to denounce him as a kook.

1. That was first mentioned on Slimebauugh
And its so obvious; this was drummed up by Rove. Yep right out of the old Rove play book.O'liely said it,Insanity said it too. This Rollins guy mentioned it on CNN.We knew this was coming so there is really no surprise.

7. Vin Weber has made the rounds too.
He has gone on cspan and other cable channels attempting to mitigate damage to the Republican party over this scandal and cover up.

The GOP should have exposed Foley in 2003 at the very least if earlier.

8. I am convinced that Rove has a direct fax line to all the MSM
and he probably lines up the Ruke's talking heads to appear on these shows and are given a script.......

2. Tweety's model could reasonably be followed...
When the idiot, Jackson, tried to blame it on Dems, Tweety asked him to specifically name names. Kingston couldn't. All he has to shop around is an accusation (much like Cheney's Team B "If you can imagine it, then someone is actually doing it" rationale to national security) and the emptiness of it is pretty easy to demonstrate.

He's not going to get support for that argument from anyone but the died in the wool sort of people who still support Cheney. The rest of the nation is on to the R's modus operandi.

5. I thought Tweety did a good job dispelling this one.

But with more pliable RW shills, I'm sure that this will be bouncing around the old echo chamber.

However, Kingston was the one on Hairball that kept saying "had we known, we would have sidelined this
guy... his was a safe seat so why wouldn't we have simply replaced him with a better candidate, blah, blah,
blah". Which sounded so craven and self serving. Never said something like "had we known about this
we would have immediately gone to the FBI and had this guy arrested, not to mention doing something to
protect the 16 year old adolescents that we have here in the House". He was so wrapped up in the political
implications of this scandal that he came off as not really caring about the predation on children going
on beneath his very nose.

6. NBC news unquestioningly used Repub talking pointing point already today
Edited on Sat Oct-07-06 07:29 AM by wishlist
On 8 am morning news headline summary on NBC TV, all Campbell Brown said about the Foley scandal was that Repubs are now asking what did the Dems know about him and when did they know it. (Apparently Chris Matthews and Joe Scarborough's debunking last night of this lame attempt to blame Dems has made no difference to whoever came up with NBC's news summary this morning.)
