I have to stop posting my conversations with my boss here, he's going to
start reading DU.

We had good conversations this past week. Today I got him to question the "Liberal Media" myth by discussing the NYT and how they were helping push the war. Told him I'd show him examples of REAL Left Wing Media (like DemocracyNow! and Buzzflash) it's NOT what he's seeing on the TV.

He freely admits that his vote for * in '04 was a mistake, and that the whole Iraq thing is a major fuck-up. He leans Libertarian, votes Repug, and listens to Michael Savage :puke: He's also an Evangelical, so he's been fed crap from that angle too, but he did say "sometimes my bible teachings conflict with my conservative ideas" so I think there's hope for him yet.

I told him today, that I couldn't work past 3 tomorrow because I had an appointment that I refused to cancel.

"Dr. appointment?"

"nope. Drinking beer and talking politics with my buddies. I wouldn't miss it just for overtime pay."

Which led to a discussion about the HUGH online political group I'm a member of where we discuss everything important to Liberal Pinco Socialist Commies in Amerika. He even said he wants to drink beer with me and my friends, because I've made him reconsider several of his positions and he is starting to learn that we CAN agree on things sometimes. I told him maybe he should check out the web site first, but I didn't give him the name. Maybe I will next week.

I'm even a little sketched giving him the web site, but after all, it's not like we're a secret. :)

2. Such optimistic news
Sometimes if it were all left to us, the people, we could get through the differences. The lines are blurring (maybe) and the truly patriotic will stand together.

5. That's the angle I've been pushing...
We're all Americans and we want what is best for us and our families. The current administration and their believers are destroying everything we stand for. I'm trying to be subtle about it, but it's hard work! :D
