Just got off the phone with Pelosi's office concerning Freeh
It doesn't look good. She has agreed to let Freeh handle the Foley investigation. I was also told that they are going to be naming someone else to head up the inquiry.
I voiced my concerns about Freeh's involvement, but it looks as though it is a done deal.:grr:
2. I guess his resume makes him the perfect candidate
However, I mentioned to the person I spoke with that I thought Freeh would create more of a cover up and I think he is a GOP operative. Especially after he was left in charge of the Clinton investigation.
I asked if the other co-investigator would be democrat, and she responded that she didn't know but as soon as it became available they would post it on Pelosi's website....
apparently they worked out some sort of deal. I think they are still working out more details.
Earlier this morning CNN reported that Pelosi had nixed Freeh's appointment. But CNN said they spoke with Pelosi's office and that Pelosi didn't nix anything and they would do what they needed to do.
I/We can only hope that whoever gets to be a co-investigator is someone we can trust. If not then except a cover up...
8. Exactly the GOP forced Pelosi to accept their MAN
by reporting Pelosi was nixing the probe.
Now having said that I can't prove they forced her to accept Freeh, but something had to give and hopefully we will find out who else will be on the team of investigators.
