2. Good choices but none of them are exactly predatory..
Vultures usually wait until something is dead or at least dying.

in Nature. :)

Pigs are too intelligent to be Republicans, and you could never accuse Republicans of sticking their heads in the sand (Up their butts, maybe), so Ostriches are out.

How about a Denebian Slime Devil? (Courtesy of Star Trek).

doesn't serve any purpose, cannot be classified as anything other than a scourge..

I have to tell you, I'm stumped. There is nothing that has less value or does more damage.

12. Tasmanian devil seems to fit.

The Tasmanian devil cannot be mistaken for any other ... Its spine-chilling screeches ... and reputed bad-temper led the early European settlers to call it The Devil.

Devils are widespread,... in fact, almost anywhere they can hide and find shelter by day, and find food at night will do.

The devil is mainly a scavenger and feeds on whatever is available.

Devils are famous for their rowdy communal feeding at carcasses -- the noise and displays being used to establish dominance amongst the pack.

The devil is nocturnal (active after dark). During the day it usually hides in a den, or dense bush.

The devil makes a variety of fierce noises, from harsh coughs and snarls to high pitched screeches. A sharp sneeze is used as a challenge to other devils, and frequently comes before a fight. Many of these spectacular behaviours are bluff and part of a ritual to minimise harmful fighting when feeding communally at a large carcass.

People sometimes say that devils are in 'plague proportions'. All they are really saying is that there are more than they would prefer to see.

Devil Disease: A devastating disease is sweeping through Tasmania's devil population, killing more than 90% of adults in high density areas and 40-50% in medium-low density areas.

16. A flea or tick. They feed off of living things, are annoying as heck...
Edited on Fri Oct-06-06 06:21 AM by WePurrsevere
they have microscopic brains, once you have them in the house they're extremely difficult to get rid of, especially if you have a large group they can feed off, and even when you think you finally have them gone they have a nasty tendency to sneak back in if you let your guard down.

Sounds like RepuliCONs to me.

If there is any real positive use for these nasty little parasites I haven't found one yet.

21. A big swollen tick
Swollen the size of a grape from the blood of its host, unable to do anything but
drop off and die, spreading more ticks from its lecherous existance.

18. Goldfish
Current they have an elephant, which never forgets.

But with Condi, Denny, et al now running a "I can't recall" defense that symbol won't work for them anymore. So I suggest a goldfish, which according to urban legend, has a memory of about 3 seconds.

If Pee Wee's busy maybe Tucker Carlson could go back to wearing bowties.
