the scandal here isn't a sexual one. I doubt exceedingly that they had an affair, but even if they did, Euan is well over the age of consent.

What is scandalous is (a) that a Labour PM would send his son to work for a REPUBLICAN Congressman; (b) that it does look as though Euan is getting favourable treatment through the Blair/ Bush connection. I assume that these internships are pretty competitive to get - what made Euan such a strong candidate? Especially as I would assume that Americans would normally be favoured over foreigners for such internships. Also, Euan got a very good scholarship to Yale. His academic record is good; but not top - he got an upper second class degree, whereas most students who get these top scholarships would have first class degrees. Yes, sometimes an outstanding CV in other ways can compensate for that - but I can't help thinking that Euan's 'outstanding CV' consists at least in part of being the son of the Poodle.
