Fordham blames Democrats... Riiiight. Re-read his statement
Edited on Wed Oct-04-06 01:40 PM by Stand and Fight
If you read Fordham's statement as it is, it would appear that he's projecting blame on the Democrats that rightly belongs on the desks of the Republicans. Likewise, re-reading his statement while replacing the word Democrats with Republicans and a little reading between the lines brings one closer to the heart of his statement.

"I have resigned today from Congressman Tom Reynolds' office (after being force out). It is clear the Democrats (Republicans) are intent on making me a political issue in my boss's race(a scapegoat), and I will not let them do so... At the same time, I want it to be perfectly clear that I never attempted to prevent any inquiries or investigation of Foley's conduct by House officials or any other authorities (Contrary to the insinuated meaning that I did by being forced out by Fat Bastard Hastert)... Like so many, I feel betrayed by Mark Foley's indefensible behavior. Again, I will not allow the Democrats (Republicans) to make me a political issue in my boss's race (to use me as a scapegoat), and I will fully cooperate with the ongoing investigation (so as not to be thrown under the bus)."

The guy is going to cooperate with investigators. At least that's my opinion...

1. Right! His statement actually incriminates his boss and the
House leadership even more than they already were. Surely others can see this, too. He gives a misdirection slap at the Democrats, but only succeeds in implicating Reynolds. He then turns around and flatly denies what Hastert and the perv-squad have been trying to say or imply. This firing and Fordham's statements will work against, not for, the Pubs...
