Now the new folks being blamed for Foleygate: The voters of Florida
Yep, now it's YOUR fault that Mark Foley made inapproprate emails & IMs to underage boys!! This is Bill Kristol's new spin on "WHO'S TO BLAME FOR MARK FOLOEY"

http://mediamatters.org/items/200610040006

KRISTOL: Well, Foley is responsible for it, and the voters in Florida, I guess, who elected him. Maybe they should have known better. But, of course, no one knows. These things happen. People turn out to be creeps, and they conceal it pretty well, and then they turn out to be creeps and you act against them.

3. I agree.
They should have known that any candidate claiming to be a family values Republican or a patriotic supporter of President Bush was a craven liar, hypocrite and quite obviously criminally insane.

4. He would know about being a creep and he doesn't
conceal it pretty well. His creepiness is out there for all to see.

6. Funny, sort of.
The voters of Foley's district, of course, voted him in. Since Foley's orientation is not much of a secret in his district, you have to give the Republicans who for voted him some actual credit for not holding his sexual orientation against him (I never did either). Some of his colleagues may have known about his interest in kids, but it certainly came as a shock to most of the voters in his district. I believe most of the republicans in his district are Eisenhauer republicans and not real wingnuts. The area is majority Democratic. Of course his district is mapped out to gather in all the rep neighborhoods.
