Ex-page Loraditch (GOP) covers for GOP House leaders

http://www.palmbeachpost.com/state/content/state/epaper/2006/10/02/1002page.html

Matthew Loraditch, a page in the 2001-2002 class, told ABC News he and other pages were warned about Foley by a supervisor in the House Clerk's office. Loraditch, the president of the Page Alumni Association, said the pages were told "don't get too wrapped up in him being too nice to you and all that kind of stuff."

But another page, who asked not to be named told The Palm Beach Post, "The program in no official capacity warned us about it," and he said that Loraditch had posted an explanation for his comments to ABC on the college social network, Facebook.com.

8. We win either way. If they weren't somebody was holding back.
If they were, someone let that predator stay in power knowing what he was.

Win-win. Except for those kids. :(

12. Actually, from what I've read, Loraditch seems to be
just making sure he's clarifying his claims. He's not "covering" for anyone, except maybe himself.

I'd rather have him clarify than have him lie. It seems pretty clear to me that Foley knows he's guilty of everything he's been accused of -- and probably lots more -- and we really don't need exaggerations from Matthew Loraditch. I say kudos to the guy for making sure he didn't overstate the truth.

14. maybe so...my original impression is that he angered other pages...
by seeming to stick up for House leaders. At least, that's what it seemed like to those pages. Likely a reflection of tension between GOP and Dem pages

7. Has anyone searched former page Matthew Loraditch's residence
...for butt plugs? This dweeb never made any formal announcements and issued formal warnings to new page entrees against Marc Foley's behaviors or any other republican congress person sexual habits.

10. What am I missing?
Officially or not, if the new Pages were warned, doesn't that sort of clinch Foley's guilt, or at least confirm that his unwholesome behavior was more or less a matter of record.

I mean, "Don't hang out with that creepy, hypocritical GOP Congressman, or he'll solicit you in an unlawful manner" sounds pretty damning all on its own. Of course, unless the warning named names, then a Page could be forgiven for failing to identify exactly which creepy, hypocritical GOP Congressman was being discussed.

if you read the excerpts from his facebook entry, it's clear that a lot of them are mad at him for giving the impression that the Foley situation had been handled professionally by the Clerk's office
