Time Machine---Last Republican Majority Leader Resigns, Why?

Speaker-Elect Rep. Bob Livingston announced his resignation during the House debate on articles of impeachment against President Clinton. Shields and Gigot discuss the implications.

After Larry Flynt offers rewards to women who illicitly 'serviced' congresscritters, as congresscritters were attempting the coup against Clinton in 1998.

WHY did Livingston resign. Oh, because he was going to preside over impeachment proceedings for Clinton having a consensual sexual relationship with an adult woman, when Livingston had AT LEAST THREE MISTRESSES willing to testify about their little play dates!!

If you will recall, this helped turn the tide on the impeachment/coup attempt.

Residents of New Orleans and its suburbs, represented by Speaker-elect Robert L Livingston during two decades in Congress, are stunned by his admission of infidelity and announcement that he will withdraw from Speakership and retire from Congress in 1999; friends and colleagues routinely describe him as hard-working, pragmatic conservative devoted to wife and four children

Now we have Denny Hastert playing Cardinal Law in hiding the fact that Foley was trying to have play dates with minor pages in Congress.

1. I never had any respect for Larry Flynt
until he paid for the exposure of two-faced repukes. Just watching Livingston's face before and after his lying ass was caught is priceless.

2. He got the goods on over 50 congresscritters, by the way
It took the wind out of the RW impeachment zealots. In a way, you could say that Larry Flynt saved the country from the first coup attempt. The second one occurred in Florida in 2000, and it worked

3. I wish Larry Flynt would do it again
right before the election. I'd like to see a scandal a day, one after the other. So many repuke shits in office...
