The crowning irony
I was just getting for work and a thought struck me. I had to run over and send this out for everyone to consider.

Wouldn't it just be evidence that truth is stranger than fiction (not my fiction, but that's another subject entirely) to discover that one lone pervert ends up saving the United States and the world from disaster? Because this idiot couldn't keep it in his pants, and couldn't control his attraction to underage boys, we may well gain both the House and Senate this election cycle, opening up the whole GOP structure to investigation and prosecution for crimes against humanity?

Could it be that the downfall of these fascists came not because of their contempt for the Constitution and international law, but because one of their number (more than one, but who's counting?) is not only a freaking pervert, but also dumber than a economy-size bag o' stupid? Dumb enough to expect his IMs and e-mails to remain out of the public eye forever?

It's just too rich. Especially if the scandal grows and the people are made aware that the Party of "family values" KNEW about this idiot's proclivities and did nothing to rein him in? Not only ignored it, but supported his political ambitions?

What a big karmic slap in the face.

This story has so many legs it's a political centipede. A many-legged disaster poised to stomp all over Republican ambitions. In one fell swoop the whole cabal could be neutered and left scrambling for cover as the new majority in Congress starts turning over rocks to see what there is to find.

This young page who started this snowball rolling deserves our gratitude. He could have saved himself a lot of embarassment by shoveling it all under the rug, but, instead, he let the whole world in on it. Maybe HE deserves the medal of honor. It took courage to do what he did.

Remember. Never forget. Never forgive.

You know they are going to try to create a bigger story before November comes.

3. Right now they're in disarray...
They have just about a month to sweep this under the rug and try to get people riled up about something else. But this story has legs and we've barely tapped the surface yet. Some of THEIR people are pissed off about it. That's not going to help them at all.

We're going to be seeing their cohesion slipping all over the place. I'll be surprised if a lot of them don't start shoving others under the bus wheels in the coming weeks, just to try to save their own political skins.
