Imus himself plays to the center, but is constantly shifting his position. He uses his rightwing asshole sidekicks, who are allowed to express every fucking rightwing talking point on the planet without challenge, to keep the political slant way right. So the tool Imus could 'support Kerry', probably so his wife would continue to fuck him, and his show can be a vehicle for the far right propaganda machine, all at the same time. Fuck Imus.

But the thing is, she's right. And he'd be dead if it weren't for her. He wouldn't eat right, he'd still be a major cokehead, pill popping crazy (if he lived) and he would not support kids with cancer, the vet's rehab facility, or any of the other charities he espouses were it not for her influence. And he sure as hell wouldn't have his kid Wyatt, the light of his life.

I did enjoy the "war criminal" remark, though. The important thing about "Anus in the Morning" (which Harold Ford Jr. averred was the title given to Imus by one of his DC fellow rep roommates) is that GOP voters listen to him avidly. Like him or hate him, he has a certain level of influence, and his views reflect the views of the average dunces who follow politics in cavalier fashion. His knowledge is much greater than these dunces, but he reflects their mindset.

He is a massive windsock of middle/right opinion....and it seems like the dissatisfaction with the 'war criminal' is growing every day. So that's the good news in his little pronouncement...

I try to turn it on, but then have to hear Dick Clark get totally bashed for showing up on HIS own show on New Years Eve. Then I turn it off. I turn it on, and hear Brian Wilson get mocked, then I turn it off. I turned it on after last SOTU adress and heard how great it was. I turned it off. I turned it on and heard Imus compare Bush to Jefferson and Lincoln, the I turn it off. He sometimes criticizes the admin, but he praises them too.
