Hume Compares Mark Foley To President Clinton

This morning on Fox News Sunday, Brit Hume compared Mark Foley’s predatory behavior towards underage pages to President Clinton’s relationship with Monica Lewinsky. Hume said that while Foley is now “in total disgrace in his party,” Clinton’s “inappropriate behavior toward a subordinate didn’t even cost Bill Clinton his standing in his party.”

There is zero comparison between Foley’s behavior and Clinton’s. Foley made unwanted advances towards underage boys which one page described as “sick” and reported to authorities. The leadership of Foley’s party covered up his behavior for months.

President Clinton had a consensual relationship with an adult. The fact that it was an extramarital affair was virtually unanimously condemned by members of both parties.

of course you are right, there was a big difference in reference to being of legal age, and consensual, but that is NOT what their tactic is. What they want to do is divert attention to Clinton, so HE becomes the issue, NOT the Foley and the republicans who covered it up.

The point is we MUST NOT be diverted, and jump to a defense of Clinton, instead we must stay on point, this is about a republican congressmen making unwanted advances TO MINORS, and his associates covering it up

Monica was like 22 or 23 and six or seven year age difference is huge at that stage in life...

Bill was stupid but he was not a sexual predator - Foley clearly is...
