9. Oh, that can't be
Don Imus and Chip Reid decided between themselves just this morning that the Democrats wouldn't filibuster. Also, a bunch of other empty-headed know-nothings have been saying for the last couple of weeks that the Democrats wouldn't filibuster.

Now, who are you going to believe? Commentators speculating in a vacuum or the actual elected officials who would do the filibustering?

39. We'll see... after all this, if they let it go through --
-- I think it would do more damage to the Democratic Party at this point than anything the Republicans could do.

Never a dull moment, is there!

38. You know, that they are all coming out SO strongly against Alito does seem
to be a hopeful sign. Could be they are just getting on the record, but they surely seems to be making a case for a filibuster (whether that's their intention or not).

46. Yes, and I'm glad -- that creeps me out the most.
As I've said before, apart from the anti-Constitutional leaning, and the corruption of serving on a trial in which he was heavily invested in the stock of a party to the litigation -- I can't get the word "pedophile" out of my mind every time I think of how he doesn't think anything is wrong with strip searching a 10-year-old.
