For the first time - I'm thinking we might just win in November
I have been completely stricken with fear for months over the November elections. With everything that has gone on - with the Devil in chief's poll numbers it being a mid-term - all the usual reason I know it should be an electoral blood bath for the repunks - BUT - for months I have been god awful afraid of the voting machines and voter supression tactics. In recent weeks I've heard conflicting stories that the gap between the Dems and the repunks is narrowing - and the warning flag went up for me - they're getting us ready to steal this thing - but now this Foley mess 5 weeks before the election - the possible involvement of the repunk leadership - I really don't see how thy can spin themselves out of this

The media loves shit like this - I also think there is way more to this than we know - because he resigned too damn quickly -

So for those of you out there who have been worrying about election fraud AGAIN - is this enough to stop it - and if not - will the Dems not taking back at least the House be so unbelievable that finally someone will look at these elections - am I getting my hopes up for nothing

I have struggled for weeks wondering what to do on election night whether to sit here and monitor the results or just wait and get the final news on Wednesday morning - of course it is stupid of me to struggle with this - because I know nothing could keep me from monitoring this shit on election night - but man I am scared shitless about this election - becuase if we don't take back one of these or both I do not think I will be able to stand it...

Help me out here folks who thinks this FINALLY after all these freaking horrible years might be what stops them....

And you know what is SO SAD about this - that if this is what brings these pukes down - what a sad commentary on our country - nasty emails and IMs brings them down when the following didn't...

not doing anything to try to stop 9/11
lying us into a war
causing the death of almost 3,000 soldiers and all those wounded
killing anywhere from 100 to 300 thousand innocent Iraqis
torturing prisoners
illegally syping on us
robbing the treasury blind
etc etc etc

1. nah...
I mean, I hope so... but... nah... don't get your hopes up too much. Remember what happened on Thursday. Do you think they will let something like a little election get in their way?

Still - GET OUT THE VOTE.

...5 weeks is a long time before election. I just hope it isn't like the September surprise we had 5 years ago.

4. You know, he DID resign too damn quick.
Usually repubs hem and haw about how they're being victimized and lied about for weeks, then resign as though it was their own idea--classic DeLay. There must be some really bad stuff underneath the tip of this iceburg indeed!

5. There are a lot of positive signs
the republican driver I work with finally had the right wing talk radio turned off today, and the NPR on. Things are changing.

7. Electronic voting and vote counting will make
sure those in power stay in power. A revolution in the streets can change things.
