I feel emboldened by the * cabal.
I am not sure whether I find a new strength in how many scandals there have been recently. Maybe knowing we could all be locked up makes me feel like I have nothing to lose. If they are going to come for me, I might as well make their case for them and cause as much trouble as I can in the process.

Whatever the reason, the last few days I have truly felt powerful. I feel like I can take on the world. Perhaps I am doing it in a cowardly way because I have been trapping people who can not really disagree with me.

The first time this happened I was aghast that my son was instructed to thank the pResident in a letter. I emailed the teacher stating this did not fall in line with our politics and I gave her link after link proving what the cabal had done. I told her our son does not wish to thank the pResident but if she insisted on it he could tell the president thank you for listening as this is always good manners. To this day I am not positive whether she blindly follows what she has been told all her life or she is a rabid freeper. She could not fight back, not in her job, and so she wrote a wonderfully friendly email back stating all is well and there is no need for my son to say thank you.

Today I went to a women's show where there are tons of stands from businesses in the area. They sell products, have give aways and offer samples. We went in the Costco booth and I said, to my friend, that they are blue. The woman behind us asked what that meant. She had on an exhibitor badge which I did not look at closely. I said, loud enough for everyone to hear, that Walmart and Sam's Club are red and Costco is blue. I went on to explain what that means and that I vote and support people with my money. Her face went sour when I explained what the colors meant and what I do to make sure I support anyone who is blue. I especially went on and on when I finally took a look at her badge only to find out she works for Costco!!!

At another booth the exhibitor was saying how you could find their product at Walmart. I immediately started backing up saying I do not go to Walmart. I explained, for everyone to hear, why I do not go to Walmart. The person was very nice and said it would soon be in other stores as well.

Then I ran across a department store booth. They were taking applications for their credit card. I said we do not believe in credit cards and when she said you have to have cards to build your credit I explained how I already had built my credit. There were three ladies behind the counter and I proceeded to tell them how the "rethuglicans" passed a credit bill last year and how even if you lose your house and you are out on the street, your bills will still be there and you are expected to pay them off. One of them mentioned something about that being the way it should be. I countered saying that I dare anyone in America to go against what I am saying. (I was fuming at this person supporting a bill like this) I should have spewed statistics about how many bankruptcies are due to accidents, etc...and are not the person's fault at all. I had had it and wanted to vent about the Republican party. I said no one could disagree that if you are putting through a bill, about bankruptcy and you let the credit card companies write it then you must be one of the most corrupt US governments ever. I said imagine any government just going to the companies and saying, "You write it and I will pass it. Whatever suits you is fine." I said I had had it with governments like that. The girl who had spoken earlier just hung her head in silence. I am not sure if she was biting her tongue or she knew that these folks have a 'for sale' sign out on the White House lawn.

I know that in the above cases people were at their job and could not say anything but it felt so good. It also felt good to be informing anyone else who was around and might be listening.

At this point this is what we all need to be doing. What do we have to lose? We might gain some converts if we speak the truth loud enough and often enough. I say if they are going to come and take me away then I will need as many people as I can converted and fighting on my behalf. I am tired of the silent media not spreading the news. I am tired of my nation being uneducated. I am tired of all the excuses and lies they make to cover their tracks.

We may have just become the most dangerous people on earth. I will not go quietly into that good night. I will go out kicking and screaming trying to wake up the masses. Who is with me?

1. You are an American patriot, demgurl.
You live by the concepts the Constitution guarantees. These days, though, you and many others live in fear for your freedom and safety for speaking your mind. That is the fault of the current, corrupt and treasonous government. Your example does what they fear most: A brave citizen willing to speak her mind in public and tell the truth.

Thank you for sharing that story.

3. Octafish, thank you for your more than kind words.
I try to set the best example I can for my kids. My seven year old is studying the constitution right now so we sat down with him and tried our best to explain it. It is hard for most adults to get but if we keep enforcing it then he will begin to see the whole picture.

At this point I can not let fear stop me from speaking out. I think it is more urgent than ever for us to do so, especially if we feel our freedom is in danger. If enough of us are convinced they will have the power to put us in a camp then we must make a decision. If they are coming for us then they will come no matter what. We must decide if we will meekly sit here or we will be hauled off for actually doing what we are accused of. Either way we are all in danger but at least one way you go out with your beliefs and dignity in tact. We can not be silent while the cock crows three times. I am already ashamed of my country and her policies, I will not walk away from this ashamed of my actions and wondering what I could have done to turn the tides even a little.

I am convinced this is one of the most important times in our history. I have let my husband know that I will never leave him. If I disappear there will have to be foul play on some level. Make it known, to all who are familiar with you, that if you are missing it is not of your own accord. Make sure they do not cause doubts that your disappearance is your own doing. Speak out because the time has come we can not afford to rely on others. We need to get out there and shout the message to anyone who will listen. Tell them about anything they will listen to. Educate them and answer their questions. We now have the job of the press on our shoulders. We need to take up that gauntlet and fight to the end no matter what the outcome is.

2. Good for you!
The other day I test drove a Ford Escape since I might be needing another vehicle sooner than later. The salesman and I went for a longish ride up into the foothills a few exits to give the car a good test. We started talking about Ford cars, gas mileage and why Ford didn't advertise their Hybrid more than they have. And we got into some of the local political races. Poor guy! I gave him an earful by the time we got back to the dealership. I was gentle but firm.

I'm with you, demgurl. When the opportunity arises, take it.

:hugs: Good for you, speaking out like that! We all need to do that more often than we have in the past. We have to take opportunities and when there are none to take then we must make them. We are powerful in numbers. I am happy to be in this fight with you.

4. I'm with you.
I have had enough.

I am taking this weekend to clean my apartment from top to bottom, read some US history, and recharge. Next week, all guns blazing. I will not be silenced. I will not be polite.

Next weekend, I am going to East Texas to a family event. 99% of my extended family spout Dubya-loving, Christian, asinine bullshit. I usually don't say much, except to point out, politely, a slightly alternative view, like that Jesus was for the poor, etc., without letting them know I totally disagree with them and think they are... asinine. I also love them, because they raised me, and they think they are good people. The worst ones are the older generation, and I've been sort of thinking in the back of my mind that I would speak out more when they all died, because there is just no getting through to them at all, and it's just not worth it.

But screw that.

I have a feeling there is going to be a family bust-up. And they will be SHOCKED by the words coming out of my mouth. They will shake their heads, and walk away. And I will be the talk of the family til Christmas. When I go to another state with my friends to celebrate Yule.

9. StellaBlue.....Good luck with your family.
I think it is harder to speak out to them since you have a relationship at stake. Keep up your courage and keep fighting the good fight. I hope you have a wonderful Yule.

10. People should have spoken truth to their German relatives in 1933.
I now think this IS that serious. I will not be one of the appeasers, nor one of the silent masses.

To paraphrase Marcus Aurelius, it matters not whether you live three hours or three thousand years. You will see everything that is humanity, and you will lose the same thing when you die: the present.

11. That is a profound post. Thank you.
If we are wrong then we have nothing to lose when we speak up. If we are right then it is our duty to speak out.

All of us need to do it. We can not hold up * as being wrong and shredding the constitution if we do not defend it ourselves. If we are silent then we are giving him consent. I will never give * my consent.

14. Thanks, leftchick.
And please remember that since we included our children on the peace train and have involved them in many demonstrations, we are all definitely on the list. Guess we may have a family 'vacation' really soon, huh?
