All Republicans want to do is talk about Barney Frank and Gerry Studds
and bring up long since resolved scandals from 10 or 20 years ago: the Kennedys, Mel Reynolds, Bill Clinton. Their MO seems to be to make half-hearted condemnations of Mark Foley (R-Sicko), and then proceed with the everybody does it defense by bringing up Democratic sex scandals from the past.

1. The only one remotely close was Studds
where it should be noted that both the page and the Congressman said it was conscentual and were still together nearly a decade later. His district reelected him at least twice after that.

they somehow seem to forget Dan Crane... :eyes:

2. Let them...
I think when all is said and done, this one is going to blow the Clinton/Studds scandals out of the water.

3. WAAAH! MA! HE DID IT TOO!!!!
What they seem to forget is that both men were investigated and censured.

What they seem to forget is that two wrongs never make a right.

What they seem to forget is that Foley did something WRONG and needs to face the consequences.

What they seem to forget most of all is that they're the party of personal responsibility.

Right?
