My Little Billings Montana Survey......Torture Bill

The passage of the torture bill has really got my top spinning.....SO!!!...this afternoon I went walking around Billings with a pencil and piece of paper and aske 125 people the following question.....

Would it bother you to know that right now you could be arrested for saying something against the bush administration or the government in general and detained for an unlimited amount of time and not be charged

out of 125 asked........104 said yes it would and were not aware of the bill passed on Thursday.

12...............said no mostly they said they support anything that helps fight terroism.

the last 9........said they were aware of the bill and did not support it and are voting for Testor for US Senate.

I was able to bring this question up within general conversation.

1. Good, 102 more people had their minds opened
appalling, isn't it, how little coverage this bill got. I won't call it the "torture bill" but the "dictator bill".

3. It is also George's "get out of jail free" card.
He can't be charged with torture crimes.

6. Great idea, cleverly carried out.
You raised some awareness, and I'm willing to be sparked some dinner table conversations.

Good for you! :toast:
