What we need is the name and Phone # of Hastert's hometown newspaper.
And the surrounding area newspapers.

Hastert has to be held accountable for covering up for Foley.

Anyone know what newspapers serve his district?

Local TV newsroom numbers would be great, too.

1. The Chicago Tribune...
His district is in the Chicago suburbs.

Its a pretty major media market.

3. Good, and the local news channels?
Sorry, but I don't know Chicago at all. Just O'Hare. ;)

7. Hastert is NOT suburban Chicago
It's the so-called exurbs, maybe. But it's more rural than anything else.

As a Chicagoan, I sure don't want to claim him.

Chicago is Rahm Emanual, Jan Schakowsky, and Barack Obama. That's why Illinois is a blue state, to the chagrin of Hastert and his people.

2. Here's his competition's website. I sent them an article
from Ameriblog about Hastert 1/2 hour ago and they've already responded. Lisa is the media coordinator; I bet she'd have the info.

11. The Daily Herald
Here are the major newspapers around Hastert's District:

The Daily Herald...the largest ciruclation in the Chicago burbs
http://www.dailyherald.com/

The Aurora Beacon, The Elgin Courier & the Joliet Hearld News
http://www.suburbanchicagonews.com/beaconnews/index.html (this is owned by Conrad Black's Chicago Sun-Times)

The Chicago TV stations are sure to be all over this...

The major TV stations in Chicago are sure to be all over this...there's no local radio.

I hope this falls on Gym Teach Denny's doorstep...I've had to deal with this arrogant asshole for more than 20 years...it'd be a real pleasure saying farewell to him and Henry Hyde at the same time.

12. The TV stations will be all over it if WE demand to know WTF Hastert was
thinking. Our interest and OUTRAGE may give them the cover they need to get into it.

14. Chicago TV stations that do local news
are all netwok O&O's (owned and operated)except WGN, which is owned by the solidly conservative Tribune. If they haven't gone after Hastert on the land/highway deals, I can't see much traction on the Foley issue.

No harm trying to break through.

17. I doubt Denny spends much time in his soi-disant hometown...
Worth a try to get the neighbors riled, perhaps. WaPo or the Chicago papers are a better bet for him.

18. Here's Lisa's response, blm.
Hi xxxx,
Thank you so much for your help!

There is a letter to the editor contact list here:

http://www.john06.com/media/lte

on our website, with contacts for our local papers.

Also, we are mobilizing our forces to contact DFA and Move On to ask them
to mobilize as well, so if you want to go in that direction, that would
also be an option.

Thank you again for all of your support - right now, as the media
coordinator here - I am amazed at what a big story the fact that
leadership let this go undealt with for almost a year...while the
mainstream media is ignoring that aspect entirely, so your help it pushing
this story will be greatly appreciated.
Lisa
