Not that I think it will make one iota of difference. Hell, I don't even get the wrong form letter back from McCain anymore.

Honorable McCain,

Once again, I am so disappointed in you. At one time, I had such great respect for you and trusted your judgment.

Your support of the Military Commissions Act illustrates how far you are willing to compromise your principles in pursuit of winning favor in the White House. The result of your compromise took the bill from bad to worse. Your backing of a bill lends it an air of legitimacy even when none exists. Do you really believe the spirit of the bill resembles your stated interpretation of the bill? Did you really read and comprehend the final version? I think the McCain version seems to be a fairytale.

How could you be willing to sign over the very principles our country was founded upon to a man that has not once demonstrated he can be trusted. How many times now, have you extended your hand with the best intentions only to be betrayed. Have you just given up on the best intention and now grovel straight for appeasement? Can you honestly tell me that you did not just give a war criminal a "get out of jail free card"?

What sort of desperation has caused you to give up the good fight? What dark influence has directed you to becoming part of what you abhorred?

The Military Commissions Act has to be the most anti-American piece of legislation I have ever seen. The implications are staggering. Our Freedoms are gone. The assault on our Constitution and Bill of Rights have gone unabated. Such a historically tragic day with so little fanfare. May your decisions weigh heavily on your heart and mind.
