4. You Forget The Rest Of That Saying...

The one I remember was "Never hit a man when he's down...kick him, it requires less effort".

This IS an important issue. It goes to the core of Repugnican ethics in a way the Iraq war can't. Women detest pedophiles more than they hate the Iraq war. Even worse is they hate the thought of pedophiles running around the government and their whereabout being known and still being given power and the being around young boys on a constant basis.

It also plays against the fundie grain. How could the GOOP tolerate not only a gay but a gay who likes boys to operate in their tent? As another saying goes...nothing is worse to these people than a dead naked woman or a live naked boy. These people can wave the flag and tolerate torture and murder, but when it comes to sex...deviant sex...it makes it hard for them to swallow (yes, pun intended) this leadership. Finally, letting this stew brings up the contradictions within the GOOP about sexual equality...not just with gays but with women as well. If I'm Kenny Mehlman, I'm not sleeping too good.

Let the Justice system deal with Foley...we're done with him. The focus should be on the "Party of Responsibility" and their leadership and yet another episode of corruption and ineptness that has ruined this country. Thus, let's mile the character issue for a week...dovetailed to the Felix Allen situation and a lot of the skeletons in the GOOP closet are coming out right before an election. I don't know about you, but I couldn't think of a better time for that to happen.
