Isn't It Well Known That David Drier (R-CA) and Mark Foley Hung Out in DC?
I wonder why the Los Angeles Times is not looking into David Drier's friendship with Mark Foley. David, of course, has his gay partner who is also his chief of staff, but I've always heard that Drier and Foley were best of friends both in Congress and in Washington, D.C. too.

Anybody else know anything about this?

Isn't it time that David Drier face the music about his gay hypocrisy and anti-gay voting record while living in a homosexual relationship for years?

Isn't it time that Congressman David Drier face 1/10th of the scrutiny that he subjected President Bill Clinton to?

What does David Drier have to say about his close friend and associate, Mark Foley?

Why doesn't the media ask David?

1. I would find that relationship amusing, but it wouldn't be illegal.

2. Time to OUT the hypocrites for being hypocrites, not for being
gay, per se.

Oh, and Dreier is not faithful to his live-in. He hit on and tried to seduce a married, straight friend of mine.

5. Thanks for the info.
I hope we can keep this alive here because he is about to skate back into Congress once again in spite of his great hypocritical voting record that has hurt people with AIDS and gay and lesbian citizens. He deserves to be questioned about his friendship with Foley now.

3. Here's just a bit of Drier's voting record against gay & lesbian Americans
I'm not suggesting they were sexual partners. Drier has a long term relationship with his staff member (no pun intended). Still, Foley and Drier socialized a lot in DC.

"Dreier clearly meets that standard, for his voting record is strewn with anti-gay positions. To cite just a few: He opposed the Employment Non-Discrimination Act (ENDA), which would have banned discrimination against gay people in hiring; voted for the gay-bashing Defense of Marriage Act; voted for banning adoption by gay and lesbian couples in the District of Columbia (3,000 miles away from Dreier’s district); voted to allow federally funded charities to discriminate against gays in employment, even where local laws prohibit such bias; and voted against the Hate Crimes Prevention Act.

"Dreier is not just a political homophobe but a heartless AIDS-phobe as well, voting against the Housing Opportunities for Persons with AIDS (HOPWA) program designed to give shelter to the impoverished sick, and against funding for the federal ADAP program that furnishes the poor with the AIDS meds they need to stay alive."

7. Wow These Closeted, Repressed GOP Gay Guys
really turn into monsters, don't they? Look at Barney Frank, who I admire so much -- they can't even HAVE anybody like that in their "big tent," it's not that big, closeted gays only. No wonder they end up going off the deep end, having to live a lie to their Murkan constituents.

He must be cringing in hiding now. I hope a few of you can keep this thread alive.

6. Hypocrite, homosexual, whatever, Dreier is a loathsome asshole.
His contemptuous pro-job-offshoring stance is about as short-sighted, regressive and uncompassionate as the administration his self-loathing ass worships unabashedly.

9. During the Clinton administration
I listened to Christian Reconstruction radio programs. One of their recurring themes was to link homosexuality to the Nazis. They would go on and on about all the homosexuals in the Nazi hierarchy.

Maybe I should start listening again?

11.  Documentary Unveils Nazi Brutalization of Gays

New York Times News Service, July 6, 2001

By Ken Parish Perkins, Fort Worth Star-Telegram

Albrecht Becker, his voice faint at times, cracking at others, is speaking of his first romantic affair. He was 18, his lover 45. They stayed together for 10 years, though he stops short of calling it romantic bliss.

Becker, now well into his 80s, was a motion-picture art director residing in Hamburg in Nazi Germany - and he was openly gay. He admitted as much to police when they hauled him away to jail, beating him to a pulp along the way. Upon his release, Becker found he could no longer live comfortably in the village where he grew up since all the men had left to join the army. So he enlisted, too.

Photos of Becker’s lovers are scattered about in "Paragraph 175," a provocative documentary airing Monday on HBO that boldly reveals a seldom-told story of the Holocaust - one that has long been kept neatly out of sight.

Paragraph 175 was a portion of the German penal code dating to 1871. It broadened the definition of illegal male homosexual behavior (the German authorities viewed lesbianism as a curable condition), and it was brutally enforced as part of the Nazi campaign to eliminate so-called "undesirables." Between 1933 and 1945, about 100,000 men were arrested under the aegis of Paragraph 175.

12. I know that homosexuals, along with many others
were targeted by the Nazis.

The Christian Reconstructionists link homosexuality with the Nazis.

The Christian Reconstructionists have a very strong influence in this government. There are homosexuals in high level positions in this government. What does that say?

Christian Reconstructionists believe many horrible things, check it out. Stoning, even the execution of 'bad' children, are among their a-g-e-n-d-a.

especially those who vote against equality for other gay americans. They should be exposed for their hypocracy at every available opportunity.

That includes you Charlie Crist (R-FL-Gov cand.) !!

and you Ken Mehlman!!!
