2. Yes America died today.
It was on life support and the plug was pulled by Congress.

America, such a wonderful concept. Gone now. I will miss it sorely.

4. Who is applauding?
Are there Americans out there who actually approve of this bullshit? I'm lucky enough to have avoided such riff-raff.

7. I know
My mother watches that movie every single day. I never liked that line myself. I always thought Lucas's dialogue was terrible. Especially between Palpatine and Mace Windu. Two phenomonal actors on screen together with no real dialogue between them. I don't watch television so I haven't heard the TV morons applauding. That's distressing to hear.

12. Didn't like I and II, I did like parts of III...
Of course the original IV, V, and VI were much much better than the first 3.

9. People really flamed Lucas
big time after that movie came out. But he wrote the plot of that movie over thirty years ago. It was based on a combination of Nazi Germany and Soviet Russia. The movie is not about Bush. Bush just follows all the patterns of a despicable dictator.

14. It's called 1984 by George Orwell.
If you want a complete account of everything that is wrong with governments you need only read that book. It has it all.

16. Also, you should check out WE by Yevgeny Zamyatin
Predates 1984 by a few years, but in its own way, it's just as chilling. A true totalitarian dystopia classic.

10. Yes
Just like the Germans who tacitly approved of slaughtering Jews--by doing nothing. It's likely you've not avoided them--you just haven't confronted them.

To those "Americans" who refused to get involved, who were content to say, "There's nothing I can do," and whose children (who really could do nothing) will suffer the most, I say, "The blood that will flow is on YOUR hands."

America is gone. Rest in peace.

Until, of course, we get the FUCKING legislation repealed with a specific provision that there will never be a statute of limitations on punishment for war crimes.

Get out the vote.

From Revenge of the Sith. First time I heard it I got goosebumps. Too many times seeing the nut cases applauding the fuhrer.
