Joe Biden on Imus (according to Jack Cafferty)
Saying something that we are having a disappearing middle class, the high cost of medical care and of energy... and all we are concerned is about waterboarding someone..

Anyone heard that program?

I can kinda see Biden's point... that concentrating on terrorists, even if it is about torturing them, removed the focus on what matters to most people, up close and personal.

1. Yes, I heard Biden this a.m. He did mention how the middle class
is faltering badly and few issues that impact them are being addressed.

2. Biden, who helped the middle class disappear
by voting for the bankruptcy bill. How insightful of him...:sarcasm:

3. I heard Biden on Imus
He bugs me. One reason is that he so often makes sense. On Imus this morning he was very good. I don't recall that he said that we shouldn't be concerned about waterboarding. In fact, he was appalled. He said he had one of his aides go to Cambodia, and the aid brought back examples of what waterboarding actually is.
As I recall he was concerned with all the issues you list, but also with the torture question.

4. Biden has never been one NOT to know what to say.....
His problem is his actions and what he chooses to do about those issues.

Talk is cheap...

But of course we can't get to America's agenda...cause everywhere we look, we always have to defend ourselves from those who say Democrats are weak on defense and can't keep us safe. With Foreign policy and National Security being the only issues discussed by our media, we can't get to the other issues. Also, considering the scare tactics that the GOP with the complicit media use, until Americans feel that they are safe, many won't go beyond that....and how can Americans feel safe with Bush driving us over the cliff? Most can't!

5. I think this point is that this bill was not urgent and that there were
more urgent things to deal with, and I would agree with him on that.

However, he also was nice to McCain, and I really wished he stopped.
