Stuck in Dulles airport.... Security threat raised to Orange??

hey DUers,

I'm stuck with a delayed flight here in Dulles (DC) airport. A recording keeps coming over the intercom, saying that the homeland security warning has been raised to orange. I'm sitting outside one of the "Premier Member" clubs, leeching off their wireless internet... I don't see anything on CNN.com about the warning, not that I would trust CNN for the time of day... Does anyone have any info on the orange upgrade, what caused it, or why there there's a plastic thingy floating in my Guiness?

and if there's anyone else who gives a shit about this country and the world who happens to be stuck in Dulles too, PM me and let's have a drink.

I've been watching different news channels, and don't see anything out of the ordinary besides Foley resigning, Woodward's book, and Abramoff's wh visits. Trifecta! :woohoo:

I watched CNN up to when Glenn Beck came on and turned him off. I did not see anything about raising the level. But the closer to election who knows what they are going to do..Remember Tom Ridge told on rove....wanting to raise the terror alert whenever something negative came out about bush and the republicans.

17. It's been orange for a while now

It's nothing new. I drive by DFW airport frequently and they have a sign before the gates saying what the alert level is at, and it's been orange for a few weeks. I think since the liquid/gel incident.
