I did it for you..... Responses from Freeperville about Foley
To: NormsRevenge
Has anyone else ever noticed how Republican politicians always resign in shame after they have done something shameful, and how Democrat politicians defiantly remain in office after they have done something shameful no matter what the cost to those around them?
Based upon this observation, the only conclusion I can come to is that Democrats have no shame.

Not necessarily. Depends on the quality of the evidence. Anyone can manufacture a text file and claim it represents an AOL chat. Not that anyone would do that to a Republican facing re-election. However, his quick resignation may be indicative of even more that he's hoping to keep secret by leaving now. Pedophiles usually cast quite a wide net.

And there's Clinton. And a few hundred more.

I have noticed.

At least Foley did not marry, create children and fool around with boys while his wife was delivering a babe.
McGreevy is so disgusting because he put the health of his wife and baby at risk. I would guess that almost everyone around knew Mark Foley was a homosexual. Foley was a damned fool to email kids. He should have known he could be set up.

"The double standard is sickening..."
The two different standards of behavior arise naturally out of the two different constituencies. Republican voters tend to believe in traditional standards of decency, democratic voters tend to not believe in them -- so if a bill clinton type conducts himself like a dog in heat, votes and campaign contributions will rise. Conversely, if a Mark Foley type does likewise, his base of support will quickly abandon him. This is the political price of paying more than lip service to the question of character in public life and it's a practical advantage the democrats have over the Republicans.

That much was obvious to me decades ago and was highlighted by The Bent One's unpenalized perjury and bogus "apology" on the heels of his own scandal and impeachment.

I'm sure the Donks will sue to keep Foley's name on the ballot on November 7th and not allow him to be replaced by another GOP candidate. Any chance of keeping the seat will only be through a write-in campaign.

How long did it take before they resorted to bringing up Ted Kennedy, Barney Frank, Gerry Studds and Bill Clinton?

differentiate between an adult and a child - based on their stated comparisons of child molestation to affairs between consenting adults. You know; just like how Foley can't seem to tell the difference....

I hate it even more when it becomes a "LETS US MAKE FUN OF SOME QUEERS!!" issue.

Then again, the multi-level unintentional ironies run deep over there. Thanks for the post.

Lovely posts there. There goes the pizza I had for dinner.

I see no outrage for pedophilia. I see no comments about how it's awful that this
man would try to exploit children, or that Foley is a raging criminal pedophile.

However, they have boatloads of outrage because he is "a queer".
What a bunch of morally repugnant, hypocritical bastards.

Why do they compare McGreevy with Foley? McGreevey didn't go after children, did he?
Are they equivocating pedophilia with adult homosexuality?

I can't stand the ignorance!

No wonder so many of them ARE pedophiles! They lack outrage for the crime!

39. What a crock
I love the comment about Bill Clinton. Let's see what is different about these two situations.

(1) Bill Clinton, while in a position of power or confidence over Monica, was a grown man in a sexual encounter with an adult female

(2) Foley, while in a position of power or confidence over the page, was a grown man in a virtual homo-erotic relationship with an underage teenager

(3) The Clinton-Lewinsky encounter was, despite allegations to the contrary, consensual

(4) The Foley-page encounter was, non-consensual. The young page never consented to the sexual or inappropriate homo-erotic entreats

What sick fucks these Freepers are.
