what was that interruption? was it a DOS attack? whenever there's good
news for us DUers, the site crashes and an apparent DOS attack goes on for many many minutes. anyone else ever notice this?

2. Not a DOS attack.
It appears to have been a run-of-the-mill server glitch. I think it may have been triggered by a sudden spike in traffic due to this Foley thing.

We're getting a new server next week, just in time for the elections. Hopefully that will help us deal with this sort of thing.
