NEW IMPROVED SPIN EMERGING!!!! BE ON LOOKOUT!!!!
heard it from some blatherheads on local radio station this morning...

Let me preface this by reminding everyone that bush has spent the past 3 years trying to convince us that IRAQ IS CENTRAL TO THE WAR ON TERROR

it's finally occured to the great and powerful GOP - that IRAQ is the problem with bush's numbers and hence is creating a drag on the GOP numbers.

the focus is shifting from IRAQ = WAR ON TERROR, to WAR ON TERROR = HOMELAND SECURITY.

the bushies are in the process of DIVESTING IRAQ FROM WAR ON TERROR!!!!!

1. And the response: Dubai Ports. Unprotected Chemical Plants.

Heckuvvajob FEMA. Crony Contract Fraud. Zero motion on oil dependency. Ties to Saudi royalty.

It's a veritable springboard. Use it.

2. They don't want to talk about Iraq that's for sure
That said, I don't know if by divesting you mean pulling out - I don't think they are doing that. They just would rather we all talk about what a crappy job Bill Clinton did rather than focusing on their numerous and continuous mistakes.

4. Ever heard the one : it's not Iraq, it's a "global war".
You are supposed to believe that Iraq is actually just a small forgettable part of this big battle we are valiantly waging world wide to protect the homeland.

Iraq=WoT, WoT=HS, Iraq=HS. The awful thing is, there are STILL a big chunk of the population that believes it! It's effective on them! They put things next to each other and let the public make the connection, and then act innocent when John Q. Oblivious answers a poll that yeah, Saddam bombed us.
