GOP is urging their online listserve to vote
early. There is no explanation given in the email I recieved. But Mr. Mehlmen seems concerned enough about something to makesure GOP voters vote now.

1. They're staving off bad news that would make even their base turn on them?
Abu Ghraib tapes?

Election fraud and the rigging of the machines?

Woodward's book?

2. Then we now know NOT to vote early, don't we?
The truth when considering the GOP and the Bush Administration is the opposite of what they say.

6. I think we should all vote early.
There is no guarantee that machines will work on election day. Republicans are notorious for putting two few of machines in heavily Democratic districts to cause long lines and supress votes. There are no remedies for voter supression on Election Day.

8. This is pretty standard stuff
And the Democrats always have absentee ballots available to hand out too. We do at the County Headquarters. Many people go on vacation or have mobility issues and it is standard procedure to assure that your base is able to vote on election day.
