This Country is coming apart.
I was just putzing around in the kitchen listening to NPR. They were reporting on Delphi,Northwest,Mesaba. These companies all in bankruptcy bleating that it's the employees fault with their high wages. The Federal judge ruled that Northwest Flight Attendants do NOT have the right to strike. As if you don't know they have packed the courts and are slowly reshaping the middle class. Into what I don't know but it ain't good.

And all this is nothing if you compare it to this monstrous bill that was passed by our "Representatives". I seldom feel hopeless and helpless but I'm there folks. I don't know, I can't move left or right. I'm frozen. Anyone out there feel the same?

1. Well, it seems like all our efforts have been for naught.
I feel helpless too.

Of course, I'm going to vote my ass off this fall, though it won't make a difference anyway, since all my congresspeople are Dems are set to win (I think...). I can only cross my fingers and maybe write some letters about other states...

Notice how nobody marches anymore? It's because they don't make a difference if the media don't cover them and no one knows they happen.

world who Americans really are.

3. See those "TUBES" over there?
Those are the TUBES the country is headed down.

Hold on to your hats, kids. This is going to be one bumpy ride. The only upside will be if we get to watch repeats of the last episode of "The Mussolini Show," if you catch my drift.

4. I feel you r pain
I am usually pro-active about the world I live in but this morning it is as if the the wind has been knocked out of me. I am dumbfounded by the ignorance of the majority of America. I am exhausted trying to educate those who do not understand the gravity of the situation. How can we be witnessing the destruction of our country while so many are ignorant of the changes! I am sad because even if I decided that it was hopeless here, there is no place to go. This machine will devour the entire planet. The effects of yesterday's legislation are worldwide.

5. The faster the better, as far as I can tell.
> This Country is coming apart.

I know you meant that metaphorically, but taken literally,
I believe "The faster the better!".

I'd welcome the sovereign nation of New England. I have
complete confidence it would be a better country than
the USA. Less willingness to torture, more willingness
to accord everyone basic human rights, and a more-stable
economy with full use of our own taxes.

6. I have often wondered how in some countries that have evil dictators
that they can also have these brilliant citizenry, doctors, lawyers, poets, scientists. And yet the country is run by a bunch of dim-witted morons who go around shouting orders and punishing people, like China or the former Indonesia. Now I can see it happening right here in our own country. Unbelievable. So many caring brilliant people here in America and yet look what kind of mentality is in our government. It is so grotesque.

7. I know. I feel the same way. We need a dark horse to rise up
and be our champion. Someone to give people hope again.
