They torture SUSPECTS
It is a known fact that INNOCENT people have been tortured. Witness the Canadian that was whisked off to Syria. They torture SUSPECTS, as in "suspected" of something. Of course, the suspect is not allowed to know what they are suspected of, or to see the evidence or to have an attorney, and their attorneys may be threatened as well.

They keep talking about "picked up off the battlefield". The Canadian guy was picked up in La Guardia.

I truly believe with this disgusting travesty of a "Law" that our Congress has basically thrown out the most basic tenets of civilization and that our soldiers and citizens will suffer the consequences.

1. .
I'm wondering whether they can really do whatever they want, even to innocents, now. If it's crystal clear that someone is innocent, can they just say after 4 years "Oops, my bad! Sorry for the torturing but there's nothing you can do about it." and noone can hold them accountable because of this new "law"?

2. That's right. And the word "suspect"
doesn't seem to reach the unAmerican "Good German" minds of the republican base. To them all are terrorists. They are truely too ignorant to know the difference.

3. 2 innocent suspects were KILLED at Bagram Air Base
Tortured to death! The majority of the suspects are bought (as in paid for) bounties from Pakistan.
This country is totally lost to me. GONE. :puke:

4. I have to revive this - if they are allowing "co-erced" evidence
into testimony, than that in itself is an admission that they are torturing SUSPECTS prior to conviction.
