What if we lived under a liberal Democratic dictatorship?
Imagine we had Democratic president who jailed conservatives who appeared at his campaign rallies, fenced anti-abortion protesters off into "free speech" zones, used the FBI to infiltrate conservative think tanks, sponsored the rigging of elections to ensure continued Democratic victories, "disappeared" conservative columnists and pundits off to Guantanamo, ordered the FCC to trump up a bunch of charges that would force Rush Limbaugh off the air, conducted a tax audit against citizens who wrote conservative LTTE's in local newspapers, wiretapped phone conversations of whomever he pleased without a court warrant (especially prominent conservatives), publicly outed covert CIA agents who expressed disagreements with Administration policy, refused to provide disaster aid to conservative communities hit by tornados and hurricanes, and used the Patriot Act to declare the NRA and the Christian Coalition "terrorist organizations".

Then lets say he ordered the military to seize all health insurance companies and establish a government run health care system, with the CEO's of these companies labeled as enemy combatants.

3. That would simply be wrong...
...no matter how wonderful it sounds. Yes, wrong. Clearly. Definitely wrong. But so gloriously, splendidly wrong. Wrong like chocolate cake with chocolate syrup and double fudge chocolate ice-cream. Wrong like a three-in-a-bed romp with the Olson sisters. Wrong wrong wrong. Wrong like taking the last fresh-baked cookie from the plate when you know everyone else wanted it. Wrong as wrong could be.

5. The greatest gains in this country have always been brought about by
a government that had divided powers by political parties. You think this sort of thing couldn't happen with a leftists government? Well, you probably do, but in that case I'm not sure what the point of your post is.

7. No I did not forget the saracsm tag
Because I was not being sarcastic. Nor was I saying that the above scenario would be a good thing (well, except maybe for the health care part).
