What'cha all complainin' 'bout freedom for?
So come on people, you're still free. Free to but a Chevy Tahoe or a Ford Explorer. Free to eat a Taco Bell or KFC. You can even choose between buying Shell gas or BP. So what's the problem? There are all different stores where you can buy your clothes. There are usually several car dealerships in each town. You're free to go to any one of them.

And that is the crux of the problem. As long as people are comfortable with what they have, they're real unlikely to to complain. They're even more unlikely to do something about it which might cause them to lose what they have. Freedom? It's a nice thing to say but really isn't something that matters to all too many people. A good platitude can go a long way toward making it better.

So what's left? In my opinion, the only way to win is to win the war of the inconsequential. Bush and his handlers put a huge effort into building him up as "the man from Texas, who lives on a ranch." That's where to attack them. Not, is Bush a liar, is Bush incompetent, but Bush is a wimp (I posted a somewhat ineloquent message about that the other night).

As for the republican in congress, it's not just that they voted to screw the people, it's that they covered their very dirty asses by screwing the people. Sleaze all the way! They made a buck by taking food from your family. Party of less government? Not if it comes to your pants. They are the party of SLIME! They are the party that killed your children.

Now, if only I could find a way to take "Friends, five days a week" from people, that could disrupt their lives!
