Get out while you can...
After today's vote in the Senate 34 against 65 in favour of the Bill, my very sincere advice to all aliens living in the US and also all US Citizens who believe in freedom is to "Get out while you can..."

1. Get Ready To Be Slimed
You're about to get bombarded by people who will tell you to get out. How you're mistaken. How we don't need quitters like yourself.

I'm sure there were people that said the same thing in 1930's Germany or Japan. Of course, they were either eventually brainwashed, or they were killed.

I too don't see myself spending the remainder of my life in this country. How can you be proud to be an American, and not feel shame and embarassment? I suppose if you spend your entire life on a cornfield in Kansas, then you don't have to worry much.

13. Yeah, well, you could have picked as your example
America in 1776 and 1861, or France in 1789, or Russia in 1917, or the countless uprisings in Ireland, or the Romanians and Russians just within your own lifetime (unless you're in junior high school) -- all cases of citizens staying, fighting, and winning. Indeed, to use the very time period you yourself chose, you could have focused on just about the whole rest of the planet, whose populations went to the mat for their countries. But clearly you do have a defeatest and loser mindset, so, you're right, you're useless here. Don't let the door hit you on the way out.

"These are the times that try men's souls. The summer soldier and the sunshine patriot will, in this crisis, shrink from the service of their country; but he that stands it now, deserves the love and thanks of man and woman. Tyranny, like hell, is not easily conquered; yet we have this consolation with us, that the harder the conflict, the more glorious the triumph." -- Thomas Paine, The American Crisis I

3. I'd gladly go, but I'm too old and too poor
Once you pass a certain age, no other country wants you unless you're very, very wealthy, so I guess I'll just have to stick it out here. :-(

I hear ya, but if we leave, who will stop the NeoNazis? Remember, they have thousands of nuclear bombs. They only way to stop them is from within.

8. Nah, I'll stay here and Fight.
I guess it's that Rebel Spirit us Tennesseans have. I'll stay here in the U.S. and stand up for what I believe in until the blood is dripping from my forehead. Try as they may to silence me, but I do what I do in the name of a couple of fellers I never knew like:

Payne
Hamilton
Madison
Washington
Franklin
Jefferson
Adams

You get the point, right. The founding fathers knew trouble would be on the horizons, AND THEY PUT THEIR HEADS ON THE LINE to give us freedom and expect nothing less from us.

I won't give my ground, and I'm only 21 years old so I have a long road to haul. I love my country, my way of life, my family and my Constitution that I defend each day in the US Navy to say "Fuck it, I'm moving to Canada". I have better things to do, and that's what I'm gonna do because
I AM A PATRIOT!!!

9. Slightly off topic, but I have been wondering about travel the last 2
days. If I were a non-American citizen I don't think that would even consider traveling into the country (remember Arar of Canada who was snatched at JFK and renditioned to Syria to be tortured) and even though I'm an american citizen I'm not sure that I would travel outside of the country anymore - you don't know what will happen upon return.

I can't believe that elected officials in my government chose to put this government and my country on parallel with the Khymer Rouge. I'm heartbroken, heartsick, disgusted, and in a state of disbelief! I can't leave and I do believe in freedom.

15. That was just a case of 'travelling while islamic'
If you're white and don't travel to ME countries, you don't have to worry,
the only people who have to worry are black people, poor people, people who
smoke cannabis, veterans, women, non-americans, disabled people, nonchristians,
anti-war protestors, unemployed and homeless people. But since poor people
can't travel, they have special prisons to torture them, 3 strikes and you're a slave.

Detained and strip searched. Come to think of it he should just be glad he wasn't renditioned off somewhere!

Sorry, it's just hard for me to have much of a sense of humor!

19. Never lose your sense of humour
When passing through customs from the US in to Vancouver, the officer decided that i
looked like a potential drugs smuggler, and pulled me over to search my bag. Well, i
had real fun with that given i was clean as a whistle. Don't look in these dirty socks,
(officer smells socks and makes face), "don't check this dirty underwear", ("STOP handling
the search." man smells my dirty underwear).. i can't help but smile as this poor bastard
was sniffing my gear. God help the drugs nazis, they're fucked for brains.

Where did that come from.... i remember... being venezuelan is automatically to be guilty
of felony cocaine suspicion, same with columbian, they can always shoot any national like
that and get away with it, just by citing the drugs war... look at how many comumbia murders
every year and gets away with it... bush's death squad buddies gotta be p r o u d.

People have been torturing in america for decades, and that people are only now waking up
is a statement to the power of denial and television, or both.

10. Jacob,
My grandmothers were Finnish immigrant children. I have a big stake in this.

I understand.

But I will stay here, because I believe in the lessons of the Winter War.

Every American should learn from this.

26. Many of you misunderstood my message
:hide: :-)

On my blog I was writing primarily for my fellow countrymen who live in the US and still hold their natural citizenships which is not American.

They are the ones who are brown or black, some wear turbans, and some have those names that make some people's "blood curl".

But after I read the legislation, I understood the target was not them only, but also all some of the "creamy white" US dissenters who are pushed into "Free Speech" zones!

If I was in your shoes I would leave the US, "set up a government in exile" and start to down the neonazis.

Is that not what almost all the European countries did at the time of World War II? The following is a list from Wikipedia

* Albanian resistance movement
* Belgian resistance movement
* Bulgarian resistance movement
* Czech Resistance movement
* Danish resistance movement
* Dutch resistance movement
* Estonian resistance movement
* French resistance movement in World War II, including the
o Maquis
* German resistance movements
o The White Rose
o The Red Orchestra
* Greek resistance movement
* Italian resistance movement
* Latvian resistance movement
* Lithuanian resistance during World War II
* Lithuanian, Latvian, and Estonian ("Forest brothers") resistance movements during the Soviet invasion and occupation of the Baltic countries (continued after the end of WWII).
* Norwegian resistance movement
* Philippine resistance movement -- the anti-Japanese phase of the Huk movement
* Polish Secret State and resistance organizations:
o Armia Krajowa (the Home Army), Polish underground army in World War II (400 000 sworn members)
o Narodowe Si?y Zbrojne
o Bataliony Ch?opskie
o Gwardia Ludowa (the Peoples' Guard) and Armia Ludowa (the Peoples' Army)
o ?ydowska Organizacja Bojowa (ZOB, the Jewish Fighting Organisation), Jewish resistance movement that led the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising in 1943
o Zydowski Zwiazek Walki (ZZW, the Jewish Fighting Union), Jewish resistance movement that led the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising in 1943
* Romanian anti-communist resistance movement - during the Soviet occupation of Romania (continued after the end of WWII).
* Slovak resistance movement
* Soviet resistance movement of Soviet partisans and underground which had Moscow-organized and spontaneously formed cells opposing German occupation.
* Thai resistance movement
* Ukrainian Insurgent Army - fought the Poles, the Germans and the Soviets.
* Yugoslav resistance movements:
o People's Liberation Army – the partisans
o Yugoslav Royal Army in the Fatherland – Chetniks

Planned resistance movements:

* The Auxiliary Units, organized by Colonel Colin Gubbins as a potential British resistance movement against a possible invasion of the British Isles by Nazi forces.

If you intend to depend on the Democrats in the House and Senate, after their performance of yesterday, I think you can forget your freedoms for good! Most of them are just a bunch of wimps thinking only of themselves and their re-election.

If you decide to take part in a resistance movement, you will then truly become insurgents and terrorists against these mentally sick people presently running your country.

Of course there may be a few collateral damage possibilities - but I am sure no one left in the US would worry much about this as the bulk of the remaining population would be so intent on the next installment of "Idols" or some other hit programme you have on US TV.

As regards the huge stockpile of weapons - I would not worry about them.

With Rumsfeld in charge of the Pentagon, they couldn't hit any target but their own feet!
